Yes! As long as your haul truck weight capacity and the 8,000-pound ramp capacity of the Gen-Y # GH54FR is higher than the weight of your antique cars, you are good to go. In fact, we have a video where we used the # GH54FR with a tractor that was loaded onto a trailer less than 4 feet off the ground. I went ahead and attached the video to this answer. view full answer...
The Aluminum Ramp Ends for 2 x 8 Boards # 288-07400 doesn't have anything special that holds the ramps to a tailgate and instead relies on the length and width of the plate, as well as the downward pressure applied by the weight of what you're loading to hold them in place. You could likely add some rubber padding or strips to the bottoms in order to provide a surface that won't slip as much. view full answer...
If you and a set of extra helping hands can fit under your 2023 Subaru Crosstrek then you should be able to wiggle the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36644 around enough to get it installed. I know for myself that I'm big enough I would need to have a vehicle lifted up unless it was on a bigger vehicle like a truck.
Since you don't already have service ramps I do recommend picking up the FloTool RhinoRamps Vehicle Ramp Set # FT11909MI and keeping them handy in your garage. I'm not... view full answer...
The Titan Disc Brake Kit # T4843300 that you referenced only has an electric reverse lock out on it. The lever on top of the actuator is a breakaway device that will apply the trailer brakes in the event of a trailer disconnection.
Since boat ramps are downhill you wouldn't have to worry about the brakes applying as you back down the ramp. What you can do is wait till the trailer has started making it's way down the ramp before you disconnect the trailer wiring so that the brakes won't... view full answer...
Yes you can have weight on the front wheels of your 2020 Toyota Tacoma when installing either the Draw Tite part # 65070 or the Curt # C31075 on your 2020 Toyota Tacoma. You could use ramps like you mentioned and it would work great. view full answer...
You could absolutely load and unload the etrailer Motorcycle Carrier part # e98873 by yourself. I have loaded several bikes on similar carriers or in the bed of a truck with a similar ramp by myself and it was pretty painless.
You would just want to set the ramp up behind the wheel tray, give yourself about 15 feet or so of room to build up a decent speed to push the bike up on to the ramp while covering the front brake, and then line up the front wheel onto the ramp and let it travel... view full answer...
The Topline Bed Extender, # BX4004-02, will likely interfere with ATV ramps if it is left on your tailgate. The good news is that this bed extender is easily removable. The bed extender attaches to the side brackets with two release pins. Simply remove the release pins to move the bed extender out of the way when you load your ATV. I do not recommend leaving the bed extender attached when you load your ATV.
Check out the installation video that I have attached for this bed extender. We... view full answer...
The reason a step-thru adapter is not needed on Hollywood Racks Destination E Bike Rack for 2 Electric Bikes # HLY66ZR is because the tube that has the clamp on cradles is pretty adjustable and can adjust to fit step-thru bikes like your American Rider Mid 3.0.
I have attached a picture a customer had sent in with their step-thru bike on the Hollywood Racks Destination E rack for you to check out.
Also, with this bike having a higher carrying capacity and the cheaper price tag makes this... view full answer...
The user controlled mode on the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Trailer Brake Controller part # RED44FR will act similar to a timed-delay brake controller. Therefore, the amount of power applied to the trailer brakes when in the user controlled mode will ramp up to the pre-set level to ensure the brakes on the trailer do not lock up. For example, if you were to turn the brake controller up to the highest setting while in user controlled mode, the amount of voltage sent to the trailer's brakes would... view full answer...
Yes. The P3 brake controller # 90195 also works proportionally in reverse. You will need to put the controller in reverse mode though and this is outlined in the instructions, page 7, which I have linked for you. I have included a link to a video review of this controller as well. view full answer...
We have a handy kit for this application, part # 20036. I assume you are referring to the reverse lockout so that the brakes do not engage when the truck is in reverse. You would run the loose lead to the reverse light circuit on your truck, so that when you are backing down the ramp or maneuvering into a parking spot there is no pressure on the brakes.
You can remove the screws holding the taillight in and trace the wire to the reverse light bulb, or you can use a circuit tester like... view full answer...
Let's try and take this one at a time to make things easier; to start with the black wire from the 7-way plug (the 12V) should be run to the pair of 12V batteries you already have in the battery box.
In terms of grounding they will be grounded through your Redarc In-Vehicle BCDC Battery Charger # 331-BCDC1225D.
The LED lights each need to be grounded to the frame of your trailer; they will also be connected to the 12V batteries which would be connected to the charger.
That covers the... view full answer...
I spoke with AirLift about the Air Lift WirelessONE Compressor System for Air Helper Springs # AL25980EZ and they said that their airbags will work for that, however the amount of height gained would be marginal. They mentioned that typically you are likely to only gain an inch or so over stock height. view full answer...
A truck camper like your 1997 Lance SquireLite 185 is going to mount on top of your bed rails, as are all the ladder racks that fit your 2015 Ram 2500, including the Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack # DZ951600 you mentioned. This means that you do need to remove the ladder rack when you want to use your camper.
The Invis-A-Rack can be taken on and off, but it would be pretty time-consuming and there is a height-adjustable ladder rack that is going to be much easier to take on and off,... view full answer...
The grease fitting that is on top of the head unit on your Reese 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch, # RP30084, is used to lubricate the pivot points of the jaws. Using a lithium grease, # L11354, is acceptable. You will also want to lubricate the jaw itself, and the skid plate. For the skid place, if you want you can use a Lube Plate, # RP83001, or use automotive grade chassis grease like # L11316.
The hitch should be lubricated and checked for proper function before each trip. If the jaws are not... view full answer...
With the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 set to the maximum, it typically will lock the brakes when the manual override is used. With that being said, if the trailer is stopping comfortably and not pushing your truck while stopping, you shouldn't need to mess with the settings.
However, if the trailer is pushing your truck, I would set the controller higher. If this still doesn't get the brakes to lock up, you may need to adjust the brakes higher view full answer...
For a front hitch for your 2023 Ford F-350 dually I recommend the Draw-Tite # 65076. This is going to be the only front hitch we offer that will fit the DRW models. This has a 2" receiver and a 500 lb vertical load limit.
As far as installation, it will be a no-drill install. There will be a plastic panel under the bumper that will have to be cut, or permanently removed. Overall it is not too bad. If this is your first time doing a hitch it may take you around an hour. It will help to... view full answer...
In regards to driving with a snowplow like the Detail K2 Rampage II Elite Snowplow part # K2RAMP8219ELT which is a fit for a 2019 Ram 1500 Classic using the Custom Mounting Brackets for Detail K2 Snowplows part # K284314, you'll need to check with your local state offices for rules and regulations as they can be different for each state/county. The only issue I can see with this would be blocking the headlights and in which case you could just use the Halogen High/Low Beam Light Kit with... view full answer...
Since your trailer is aluminum, I would contact the manufacturer to see if adding a weight distribution will damage the aluminum A-frame.
To choose a weight distribution system you need to go by the total tongue weight of the set up. This is calculated by taking the tongue weight of the trailer, when loaded and ready to tow, and adding to that the weight of anything loaded behind the rear axle of the tow vehicle.
The Reese Steadi-Flex weight distribution system, part # RP66558 rated for... view full answer...
That's an interesting question, and while there is not an exact, specific amount of time the HydraStar Electric Over Hydraulic Actuator for Disc Brakes # HBA16 can be used, you shouldn't use it for an extended period of length, such as the 10 minutes you referenced.
It's only meant to be used to supplement your braking as you are driving, so using it in the manner of a parking brake, so to speak, is not something that should be done. While you won't end up in the lake, the # HBA16 will... view full answer...
